This Cookie Policy applies to the public WhatsReal website. It does not govern in-app SDK processing inside the iOS app, which is described in the Privacy Policy.
2. Technologies Identified in the Audited Site
- `whatsreal_cookie_consent` cookie. A first-party cookie used to remember that you interacted with the banner. Retention: 180 days.
- Google-hosted web fonts. The website currently requests DM Sans and Inter from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends request data such as IP address and browser metadata to Google when the page loads. This is not a cookie, but it is still a third-party request relevant for privacy compliance.
3. Categories
Strictly necessary. The consent cookie is used to avoid repeatedly showing the same banner state and to preserve the user’s recorded preference.
Analytics and advertising cookies. None were found in the audited website code as of April 12, 2026.
4. Third-Party Requests
The site currently includes remote Google Fonts links in the shared layout. As a result, a visit to the website may cause your browser to connect to Google infrastructure before you interact with the banner. If you target jurisdictions where prior consent or an equivalent blocking mechanism is required for that setup, you should either self-host the fonts or implement consent-aware loading before go-live.
5. Managing These Technologies
- delete the `whatsreal_cookie_consent` cookie in your browser settings;
- block cookies or site storage in your browser, understanding that the banner preference may stop working; and
- use browser extensions or settings that block remote third-party font requests if you do not want Google Fonts to load.
